Both parents and children appreciate the warm caring community that is BCISB. Our campus is modern, being built in 2007 and we have recently had additions of a purpose built gymnasium and soon a five-lane swimming pool. We have both indoor and outdoor playgrounds, an extensive library, music, art and drama studios. Our facilities ensure the best for learning and development.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to British Columbia International School Bangkok. As the only International School offering the prestigious British Columbian curriculum in Thailand, BCISB is in a league of its own.
BCISB launched successfully in Thailand on September 3rd, 2007. We are a small sized Canadian international school offering students the curriculum from the province of British Columbia. We are part of a group of 40 British Columbia Offshore schools worldwide located in China, Columbia, France, Japan, Qatar, and the UAE. Located near the up and coming business district of Bang Wa, we are easily reachable by the BTS on the Silom Line and the MRT Blue Line Extension.
Our goal is to immerse your children in a safe, English speaking environment where they may grow as individuals, explore their unique interests and learn to be self-sufficient in an increasingly competitive and global society.
In 2019- 2020 we will be undergoing WASC accreditation. The Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC), a world-renowned accrediting association and one of the six regional accrediting agencies in the United States, works closely with the Office of Overseas Schools under the U.S. Department of State. ACS WASC provides assistance to schools worldwide, primarily in California, Hawaii, Guam, Asia, the Pacific Region, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
NEWS & UPDATES
My daughter shifted to BCISB from a bi-lingual kindergarten last year and has spent a year at BCISB, currently, she’s in Grade 2. In the beginning, we were very nervous, all we wanted was for her to be happy and to gradually grow a passion for learning as earlier she was often unhappy with traditional teaching methodologies and the overly-organized structure of the Bilingual school.
It has been over a year since we moved to BCISB and I am delighted to see sparkles in her eyes every morning when she wakes up with big bright smiles eager to go to school. After school ends each day, she’s filled with stories about her day and how nice and kind to her friends and teachers are.
At BCISB, you can be assured that your child is at a safe and comforting environment filled with love, trust, and respect. Being a small school has its advantages, you can be assured that no child is ever left behind here, but in fact, every child is recognized and appreciated for the person they are by the entire school.
How wonderful is that!!!
My daughter has friends from all grade levels, upon pick-ups I see her playing with the tiniest ones to the tallest ones.
I believe being “Socially Aware” is of utmost importance for young minds and really for any individual living in today’s hi-tech world surrounded by social media. I take pride as my girl discovers the habits of being highly effective and lives and breathes being socially and culturally aware. At BCISB all students and teachers coexist in a big family, looking out for one another, sharing information with one another, older kids visit younger kid’s classes engaging in reading sessions, and younger kids support older kids with their great ideas!
All concerns whether big or small are heard, all matters are gently and sensitively approached by teachers and staff. Children at BCISB are taught compassion, unity, self-respect, integrity, and have a high sense of responsibility towards those in need. BCISB strives for growth each year, not only is the school offering excellence in academics, music, art, and sports but the school instills the values of life-long learning amongst all of the student’s little hearts and minds.
You may be disappointed if you fail, but you’ll be doomed if you don’t try. Don’t stress, do your best! Trust yourself! Forget the rest! Thank you for all the love and effort that all of the teachers and staff have devoted to me.
Bachelor of Business Administration, Major Hospitality Management
I learned how to be more mature from attending BCISB and I know the young students will learn the same thing. The school teaches you to be independent. The school taught me many things and prepared me to study engineering at Mahidol University, and on graduating from university I will go into my families business.
Bachelor of Engineering, Mahidol University International College (MUIC)
